SpinEat Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 27, 2026. This policy is from DESMACAPPS LLC (“we”).
SpinEat is a free Android app with an optional SpinEat Plus subscription. It has no ads (in Free or Plus), no analytics SDKs, and no accounts. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Location
With your permission, SpinEat uses your approximate location (it does not request precise location). When you spin, your approximate location, a search radius and the search words from the reels (for example “italian restaurant”) are sent from your device to Google Places to find nearby places. SpinEat requests only basic place details from Google (address, place type and map location). Those details are kept in memory on your device for up to 30 minutes and are never sent to our server or shared with other users. Location is optional, but nearby results need it.
Data stored on your device
Your visit history (place ID, place type, address, distance, your own star rating and note) stays on your device. You can delete history rows in the app, and uninstalling removes them. SpinEat Plus members can save plans on the device; a saved plan keeps Google’s place ID, and the place name and address are removed from it after 30 days.
Daily limits
Free daily limits (3 new searches and 3 AI messages a day) are counted on our server using the anonymous app user ID. The server stores only that ID and a daily count, using our hosting provider’s database service (Upstash); no search terms, locations or messages are stored with it.
Reminders
When you confirm a place or copy a plan, SpinEat can schedule a local notification on your device asking how it went. It is created on your phone; no push service or token is used.
AI planner
The AI planner is optional. Free users can send 3 AI messages a day and SpinEat Plus members 50 a day; these limits are enforced on our server. When you send a message, your recent conversation, your mode (Eat or Do), up to 50 entries from your SpinEat history (place type, address, your own star rating and note), your approximate location if location is on, and an anonymous app user ID are sent over HTTPS through our server to Anthropic, PBC, which generates the reply. Our server does not store your conversation or log message text. Anthropic processes the content under its own terms and privacy policy. AI suggestions can be wrong, so check details before you go.
SpinEat Plus, Google Play Billing and RevenueCat
SpinEat Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play ($2.99 per month, or $19.99 per year with a 7-day free trial; the price shown in Google Play at checkout is what you pay). Google Play Billing handles payment, and we never see your card or payment details. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscriptions: RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID it generates and your purchase information (product, purchase and expiry dates, and Google Play purchase token) so the app and our server can confirm whether Plus is active. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf under its privacy policy. No name or email is needed, and RevenueCat does not collect your advertising ID or device identifiers.
Subscriptions and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime in the Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or from Manage subscription on the SpinEat Plus screen. If you cancel during the free trial you are not charged; otherwise you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy. Use Restore purchases on the Plus screen after reinstalling.
Sharing and retention
We share data only with the service providers above (Google, Anthropic, RevenueCat and our server host) to run the app. We do not sell data and do not use it for ads or tracking. We keep no copy of your history, location or conversations on our servers. To ask us to delete purchase records held by RevenueCat for your app user ID, email us.
Children
This app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
